 The Experts Behind the Kit

Experts make the difference between tools that work and tools that only look like they work. The Got Mold? Test Kit is a tool for collecting professional-quality air and surface samples to determine whether you have an indoor mold problem.

When you need to know
You need the experts

You spend most of your time indoors.  And yet, the air indoors may be the most polluted air you breathe. The EPA says indoor air can be 100 times more polluted than outdoors, even in industrial cities.

To protect your family, you hire experts to maintain your health, your teeth, your car and your home. Your air needs experts too.

The Got Mold? Test Kit gives you professional results because it is the first mold test kit designed by recognized air quality experts and developed in accordance with indoor air quality (IAQ) industry standards. Our test kit contains the same devices used by professionals to collect air and surface samples.  Click here to see why most other self-test kits don't work.

This mold test kit includes three Air-O-CellTM air sampling cassettes, designed and patented by Daniel M. Baxter, one of the experts who helped develop the test kit. Dan also designed the Bio-TapeTM surface sampling slides, three of which are included in your kit. Both of these devices are used nationwide by the vast majority of mold assessment professionals, and are recognized by laboratories everywhere.

Air and surface samples are examined under a microscope by highly trained lab technicians, who then tell you exactly what types of molds they find and the concentration of each. Your report from the laboratory will help you understand what those results mean to you.

Our proprietary Bio-VacTM air sampling pump in this test kit was designed by Jason Earle, the founder of several indoor air quality improvement companies, and the first mold assessor to successfully combine the use of high-tech instruments with mold-detection dogs (Mold DogsTM) in his relentless pursuit of hidden mold. The Bio-VacTM air pump is factory calibrated to pull in exactly the right amount of air to get an accurate, scientifically valid sample for the laboratory.

Meet Our Experts

Jason A. Earle, afflicted by mold-induced illness as a child, is a pioneer in the field of mold detection and testing.  Click here to read Jason's personal story:  Mold Caused My Asthma and Allergies, Here's What I Did About It.

In 2003, Jason founded Lab Results LLC, which was the first company in the Northeast, and one of the first nationwide, to use mold-detection dogs for finding hidden mold problems.  Lab Results also pioneered the integrated use of infrared thermal imaging and mold-detection dogs (Mold DogsTM) to complement the more traditional mold inspection and testing technologies and methods.

Jason Earle holds a dozen indoor-air-quality certifications and registrations and is an instructor for a Rutgers University course called, How to Deal With Moldy Buildings.  He has also served as an expert witness in the field of mold detection in the Superior Court of New Jersey.   He is the president of the International Mold Detection Dog Association (IMDDA), which was recently recognized in an EPA whitepaper.  He now leads a network of nearly 100 certified mold-detection dog teams nationwide though his role as President of IMDDA.  He and his certified Mold Dog, Oreo, have been featured numerous times on national television shows such as Good Morning America, in addition to profiles in over 200 print publications.

All of the tools, techniques, and systems developed by Jason's original company, Lab Results LLC, are now being made available, nationwide, through 1-800-GOT-MOLD?.  Franchise opportunities are available.

Daniel M. Baxter is president of Environmental Analysis Associates Inc. He has more than two decades of experience in field program design, sampling, and quantitative analysis of airborne aerosols, bioaerosols, and particulate contaminants using optical and electron microscopy.  With a BA in Physical Science from San Diego University, he began his science career in the LAPD crime lab analyzing chemical and physical evidence. Mr. Baxter is the inventor and patent holder of the Air-O-Cell cassette, the industry standard for airborne particle sampling, and the BioTapeTM tapelift cassette used for the collection of surface dust samples. Both of these devices are used in the Got Mold?TM Test Kit.
